The Summer Youth Program
English Classes:

Every student can take three hours of an English class five days a week. The English class is assigned based on proficiency level and age. Student proficiency is assessed at the beginning and at the end of the student's participation in the program.

  • Class size is small - 8 to12 students per teacher to ensure individual attention
  • Faculty hold advanced degrees or certifications in ESL, TESOL or Applied Linguistics
  • All teachers are native English speakers
  • Integrative approach of practicing speaking, listening, reading and writing
  • Highly interactive experience, both inside and outside the classroom
Enrichment Classes: Each student may choose one or two enrichment classes per week. Enrichment classes are offered in technology, sports, science and arts. The enrichment classes are 3.5 hours long with a 30 minute break in the middle. All enrichment classes are conducted in English and will be a mix of local and international students.

Evening Events including Career Exploration Workshops:

In the evenings Monday through Friday, we plan activities which are both social and educational. They include talent shows, game nights, movie nights and career exploration workshops. For these workshops, we invite a professional from different arenas to speak with our students. Physicians, dentists, engineers, architects, lawyers, business executives and others come to share their academic and professional journey and answer questions. Our goals are to broaden the horizon of our students and inspire them.
