All classes are week-long, Monday through Friday and includes 3 hours of instruction/classroom activities and 30 minutes of breaks during the class.
Lego NXT Robotics A*:


Learn how to build and program the LEGO® Mindstorms NXT robots. Our teachers will guide students through the initial discovery stages of robotics, including step-by-step programming instruction and guided activities. Students will use the new skills to program the robots to meet challenges such as going through a maze, using claws, sweeping items off the table, knocking out bottles, and beating opponent at Sumo. Logic, technology and creativity are combined to provide hours of learning fun! Both beginners and students with knowledge of LEGO® Mindstorms® NXT can take this class. This class is complementary to Lego NXT Robots B. Ages - 8-16

A second introductory class to learn how to build and program the LEGO®
Mindstorms NXT robots. Creative robot construction, team-oriented challenges, variations of input sensors such as color sensor and dual-switch programming will be taught. Challenges such as creating a bumper car, baseball batter, forklift and button remote control will stimulate sudents' imagination while teaching robotics technology. Both beginners and students with knowledge of LEGO® Mindstorms® NXT can take this class. This class is complementary to Lego NXT Robots A. Ages - 8-16

Advanced Robot Challenges*:
Prerequisite: Experience with LEGO® NXT Robots
We will challenge engineering and programming skills with the LEGO® Mindstorms® NXT robots. Class is intended to be more thought-provoking with an emphasis on creative problem solving. Students will be involved in the programming and construction of more elaborate robot configuration through challenges such as Bluetooth remote control, and various types of vehicles and animal models. Students should have a basic understanding of how to use sensors, motors and repeat blocks. Ages - 8-16 Classes offered:

Video Game Creation**:
Prerequisite: Experience with computers
Students create their very own computer video game from the ground up. Utilizing GameMaker® software, our teachers will walk through every step of developing a customized functional game, including drag-and-drop programming, designing multiple levels and adding features of a real arcade-style video game. This class is perfect for beginners, as well as students who want to learn more and add on to their previously created game or create a new one.

Advanced Video Game Maker A**:
Prerequisite: Familiar with GameMaker®
This class is for those already familiar with GameMaker® who want to take their game creation skills to the next level. We will examine gravity, platforms, bosses, levels, effects, and learn how to keep expanding your skills. Students must have already taken a Game Creation class with us or in some way demonstrate your ability to keep up with this class as basic GameMaker® skills will be assumed. This class is complementary to Advanced Game Maker B.

Advanced Video Game Maker B**:
Prerequisite: Familiar with GameMaker®
Create a game of a larger scale and more depth. Students will work through the creation of a fantasy game, learning about level design, projectiles, enemy behavior, special effects, and more. We will also take a look at narrative in the context of a game. Students must have already taken a Game Creation class with us or in some way demonstrate your ability to keep up with the class as basic Game Maker skills will be assumed. This class is complementary to Advanced Game Maker A.

Video Game Maker Master**:
